The Great Pyramid site selection was easy.
They needed a high spot for prominence and they needed an active
geyser to do the heavy lifting. The House Of Life was built on the
Primordial Mound and was just to the south of "Osiris". The retain-
ing walls pre-existed the pyramid and enclosed the lake. It was pro-
bably the depth of this lake at the outlet which was recorded each
year on the Palermo Stone. The geysers were seasonal and the lake
level was recorded at the end of the season.
The higher up the water supply the larger the area which could be ir-
rigated.
