Why not compare that list to the numbers of tombs that were or were not looted?

In fact, you'll find nearly every tomb that housed a sarcophagus had also been looted. Even Hetepheres' tomb, which housed an "empty" sarcophagus, shows signs on the bottom of the sarcophagus that a resin-coated body had once inhabited the coffer. This was Khufu's mother, by the way, and she was reburied in HIS lifetime, after HER tomb was looted.

In fact, we have found a sarcophagus that was still bearing its original seal. Unopened. When it was opened, it was empty. Is this evidence that Egyptian pyramids were not used as tombs?

No... it's evidence that the tomb was of a king who was widely known to have had a death that led to his body being irrecoverable. Everybody KNEW the body was not there, so why bother breaking open a giant stone box to get at air? Anything else that MIGHT have had a body has a broken lid.

Notice that the lid is broken open more than enough to peer inside... but just enough to get a mummified body out for burning. They burned the bodies to get the jewels out of the encrusted wrappings as fast as possible.

I hope that helps set the record straight and you don't get misled by the mystery mongers. This stuff is about as cut and dry as it gets.
