Actually, this statement is potentially misleading.
It is not necessary to double or halve pi in order to find it in the assumed intended measurements of the superstructure of Khufu's pyramid (280rc height, 1,760rc perimeter).

All that is necessary is to see the height of the Pyramid as the radius of a circle.
Thus:
the height of Khufu's pyramid is to its perimeter at its base as a circle's radius is to its circumference.
Consequently, we can have:
(h x 2) x pi = perimeter
(r x 2) x pi = circumference

To argue that pi needs doubling or halving here is to deny the simple fact that a circle has a radius as well as a diamter.
