I don't think that anybody is questioning whether or not the oil will eventually run out. I think that is a fact. I have been involved with the oil industry for the past 25+ years (since I was a little girl). From what I am seeing even today, nobody of any great position in the oil companies is uneasy about oil running out. Considering their entire businesses rely on oil supply, it seems rather strange to me that people would be placing such an early date as 2008. You would think that oil companies would be trying to liquidate their companies or make transitions. If anything, they are investing more and more into oil exploration and research (as they have been doing for the past 15+ years).
