Hey Hermione
No, I haven't and that, at this stage, is purposeful for two reasons: firstly in that I might be totally off track on this: I wanted to see if there is any chance the original text could be a code. If it meant anything as the letters I have come up with, then the chances are that it could be a code. The second reason is that I wanted to get an unbiased opinion: someone who hadn't seen the context to see if the words meant anything. The context is religious and the original quote is found on a religious building. However, as stated above, it may have deeper meaning that is not "mainstream" religion but more an alternative opinion on religion.
If I am right and it is a coded message, As codes go, it is a pretty easy one as I am not used to deciphering codes, but i don't think it was meant to be that difficult to crack: just enough to not be immediately obvious what was being discussed!
I'll give it a little while before I put the URL of the source up (and the original inscription and what I thought the code might be), just to see if anyone has any further thoughts on what it could be about and to see if anyone has any thoughts on what for instance the OWl might mean.
Another thing that did cross my mind, was that I am sure i have read somewhere that Paris was at one time spelt Parris: so maybe the word at the end of my interpretation means Paris not Owl.
