What? Every account of Hitler's death states that after Hitler's suicide his body along with Eva Braun's was taken outside and burned by the residents of the Bunker and not by the Soviets. For a brief description of Hitler's last days see John Toland,
Adolf Hitler, New York, 1976, pp. 1210-1222. The residents of the Bunker describe themselves doing this. Just read for example Trevor-Roper's
The Last Days of Hitler.

Oh my God! The bottom line is that the Russians did an autopsy in 1945 and concluded that it was Hitler's body. The body was identified at the time by means of dental records. Hitler had had extensive dental work that quite clearly identified the remains as his. And no everyone in the Bunker was not killed. That is utter nonsense; many survived the last days. You might want to start read about Heinz Linge for one. As for the Soviet autopsy the first description of the results is in Lev Bezymensky,

The reason why the Soviets sat on the autopsy for so long (until 1968 not 1973), was simple Cold War politics. Stalin almost from May 1945 was more than insinuating that Hitler had survived with the only thinly veiled accusation that the Western allies were responsible and hiding him. If you watched two years of this documentary series and still ended up with this series of nonsensical, false ideas about the facts. Then I can only conclude that the series went on to be has valueless as was apparent to me when I watched the first episode. My decision not to watch any other episodes seems amply vindicated.
