Im guessing its her opinion, she talks about traditions and the society alot, but at the same time, isnt real impressed with Japenese Treatment of women in general.
Realize though she hasnt been back to Japan in 20 years so she is behind the times.

I couldnt say, its what I have read and been told about the Geisha. I can't personally vouch for the veracity.

to me thats not being kept LOL. she just didnt want to lose her freedom. and for some people that whole whole ring and paper biz does seem to wreck perfectly good long term relationships.
(sde note: a couple I know had been living together for 16 years then decided to get married, they were divorced a year later and pretty hacked at each other) >shrug<
I can only say. my experience is with the type of women who are parasites LOL. no interest out side of how much they can take a man for . Im thinking im confusing users for what you folks are considering kept.
that said, thank God decent Women out number the wastes of Flesh by a large margin. " note. there are just as many bottom feeder males around too."

couldnt tell you. the Japenese(or was she chinese?) woman in the movie Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man would have been great for the part.

from what I have been Taught by my aunt almost every custom and tradition is an art form. even Sake Drinking in a formal and semi formal setting of a traditional household is elevated to an art form. and I still cant wisk Tea correctly LOL.
so I guess I wont be showing any special honor to friends in a private setting.
but I can at least rake pebbles with the Best of them.
