We went into this turtle acquisition knowing that we could end up with a very large aquatic pet down the road. If we weren't buying a home and planning on living there for a long while, we probably wouldn't have even considered it. I may start building "the pond" next spring so that by the time Sasuke is big enough, it'll be well developed for him to enjoy. I like the idea of using a clean kitty litter pan for feeding. I've noticed a vague smell already developing. Lucky for Sasuke that he's located on the bookcase behind me. Guess there's no worries about me not skipping tank cleanings, huh?

I did try checking to see what gender Sasuke is. I'm guessing he's definitely a boy. Not because I was able to detect where the vent was. He was just so aggressive about me not holding him that he nearly popped out of my hand. LOL Thank you for the article, it was excellent. Sasuke finally ended his starvation protest yesterday and ate 5 pellets of turtle food. Apparently, he was hungry
