Well, this weekend, a woman was actually selling turtles at the local flea market. We've had serious bad luck as of late in regards to pets (last attempt was a siamese mix kitten who I woke up and found cuddled up to me---DEAD! the next morning a few months ago). So, we thought...hey, a turtle--longevity! relatively easy care! I researched all I could on the proper care of Sasuke, the turtle. Then we went out and spent a good $70 on proper equipment (nice sized tank, proper food, rocks for building a perch, lighting, thermometers to manage tank temperature).

Alas, Mr. Longevity (aka Sasuke) may no longer be in the land of the living this morning. I can't say for sure but he doesn't appear to have moved from where he parked himself last night...It's now 9 hours later...
