When I was mere prat, we had a couple of red-ears. The little fellows thrived on hamburger, dogfood, lettuce and the odd fly. After many years, when I was in college, the brutes had gotten to the size of dinner plates and wound up being released in a municipal park lagoon. For all I know, they could still be in there, annoying the ducks!
