Joanne calm down. The belief that Cochran won by "playing the race card", is not just a belief outside the USA it is also held within the USA. I certainly remember lots of commentators, (on CNN) before and after the verdict making statements to that effect. Certainly several of my American friends thought Cochran won that way.

In my own opinion I thought the jury came to a reasonable verdict based largely on the way the prosecution bungled the case. I also think that the civil jury came to a reasonable verdict, given Simpson's bad performance on the stand.
