Actually yah, that's pretty much what I'm saying.
It is depressing (at least to me) but everything I see is a logical twist of what we already know.

Well... certain breakthroughs might or might not be, but this is where my fascination with quantum mechanics comes from... We're discovering new information, albeit not really creating anything.

So... can you name anything NEW That didn't exist before?? That is, even the components didn't exist before? Flight is a perfect example -- all the concepts were there, they were just found and combined.

You could make me *really* happy by pointing out something that is *new* - completely and in whole
