The actual mean measure of the base dimension; 9069.27 inches per side is confirmed by the field work of Petrie 9068.8" (1883), Cole 9069.45" (1935) and Dash/Paulson 9069.42" (2015). not sure you did any favors with that link, read the part about his mother and father in the second paragraph, they lived 2500 years after Imhotep, and to be honest who ever or what ever computer wrote that invents most of it, terrible suggestion.by Pistol - Ancient Egypt
Most of these theories are thrown with no desire to understand, and that's in part because martians built the pyramids as geo markers for landing on the planet. I think limestone is heavy, crushed and mixed with water it gets even heavier, but you would have to wait a few months or more for the 1-2 ton blocks to cure before pouring another 2 ton block on top of it. Interesting how the Egby Pistol - Ancient Egypt
Hi Hermoine, I do not ascribe to the idea that older civilizations built pyramids in Egypt. However, it should be considered that, as you mention, mortuary enclosures built for the rulers afterlife cult were present in Egypt from the earliest of times. It's unclear on many levels whether the mortuary complexes found in upper Egypt were also present in lower Egypt, here we can say the unifby Pistol - Ancient History

I disagree. Carbon-14 atoms that cosmic rays create combine with oxygen to form carbon dioxide, which plants absorb naturally and incorporate into plant fibers by photosynthesis. Animals and people eat plants and take in carbon-14 as well. The ratio of normal carbon (carbon-12) to carbon-14 in the air and in all living things at any given time is nearly constant. Maybe one in a trillion carbonby Pistol - Ancient Egypt
C-14 dating identify's the date the tree stopped living, not how old the tree was at the time it died, whether the tree was 2 years old or 1000 years old when it stopped living it makes no difference. Therefore, the date ranges are based on multiple samples of the object against a constant background source to calibrate date ranges and their respective probabilities. Hi Hans, There is nothing, other than the cedar, that suggests how old the chamber or the location it was retrieved from. However the composition of the chamber stones and especially the horizontal passage wall stone compositions indicate 2 perhaps 3 separate epochs of construction, i.e. the Niche and the wall its within, as well the west wall should be considered the earliest parts... the ceiby Pistol - Ancient Egypt

Hi John, There's one huge problem with your photograph.... you left your shoes and socks on. Obviously his conceptualization of ancient artwork suggests a sub-conscience constant existed in the placement of people, places and objects throughout history... because he apply's the same methodology with more modern works he's suggesting a natural or innate occurrence of composition is a human condition. In my view, pyramids are manifestly associated with the sun, though the 6th dynasty royal tombs were specifically formulated to incorporate texts, the pyramid shape and size by that time had become more or less iconic in nature rather than practicable as it was during the 3rd and 4th dynasty's. As it was, we can clearly see the evolution of the texts during the Old Kingdom, and the furtheranby Pistol - Ancient Egypt
I would expect then, trace elements of the 'rubbed off' markings would be apparent, either way though logistics for such enormous projects, in my view all the stone bits and pieces require identification for specific projects when leaving or arriving at the site, I imagine. I seem to recall Gardner's statements on the 'Rekhyt People' of the Delta (lower E), I don't have a copy with me at the moment so excuse my memory and for that matter it may have been another author. Imagine, quarries, turning out lots of stone for many projects at the same time. My guess; a member of the 'aper' or Forman of project marked the pieces at the quarry so that they would arrive at the right place once shipped. The logistics inherently cause such markings, think of them as shipping labels. best, BAHokomby Pistol - Ancient Egypt
After reviewing Dash 2017 I'm scratching my head. Dash published his rounded number of 230.4m for each side of G1 based on the grid location of the pyramids corners (his adjusted cardinality grid, which used GPMP at G1's center Northing 100,000 Easting 500,000). It's easy to figure out 230.4 m equals 9070.866 in. However this contradicts Dash/Paulson 2016 where they measured thby Pistol - Ancient Egypt
To your last point, I recall arial photos of G3, and it appears that all four (core masonry) faces have an indent on their faces... similar to G1. I was recently standing at the North West Corner of G3, though many of the red granite casing stones still remain jumbled in a pile covering the corner, it had to have been much worse in Petrie's time which explains why he couldn't find the cby Pistol - Ancient Egypt
Reviewing Petrie's survey results for G3, I took the bait he set out for us all... namely, his survey excluded the azimuth of the pyramids west side and the length determination for the north side, he states he was unable to find the northwest corner of the pyramid. However if this were true how is it he was able to provide a measure for the west side of the pyramid 4153.8 in.? Then later inby Pistol - Ancient Egypt
