Reviewing Petrie's survey results for G3, I took the bait he set out for us all... namely, his survey excluded the azimuth of the pyramids west side and the length determination for the north side, he states he was unable to find the northwest corner of the pyramid. However if this were true how is it he was able to provide a measure for the west side of the pyramid 4153.8 in.? Then later in a different section he describes that the entrance on the north face is located in the middle, unlike the other two larger pyramids, and states that the entrances center is exactly 2078.9 in. from the east side, which happens to be half the length of the pyramids south side (4157.8 in.).
So, I took his information (data) and built his survey with appropriate azimuths and lengths and found that the north side length at 4157.8 in., (to match the south side) on the +16' 48" azimuth from the NE corner and found that his measure of 4153.8" for the west side provided an azimuth of +12' 23".... matching the east side azimuth. So, I can't figure out why he left his base dimension field survey without the implied north side length and the west side azimuth.
