There is clearly heat coming from inside the pyramid. Therefore it is a fact that something hot is under this corner. If it were the corner hot then the corner would be the anomaly. The heat is coming from something under the corner.

In order for something under the pyramid to heat the anomaly there must be a means to transmit the heat. You can speculate that the only area heating is right behind the anomaly but then you have to explain how the heat got behind the anomaly. You're right back to a heat sink under the corner.

"Massive" simply means it is a significant portion of the weight of the NE corner. I should think at least a few percent. Anything much smaller could not absorb enough heat to keep the anomaly so hot so much of the day even into October. Anything much smaller would not require that the pyramid was built lighter above it.

There is hundreds and hundreds of tons of missing material in the outer 30' of the pyramid under this corner. This missing material goes all the way past the "niche" at 270'. The amount missing is probably comparable to the size of the heat sink.
Natural stone would make an idea heat sink since there are no gaps in it. Heat can easily be transmitted deep into it in a relatively brief period like an Egyptian summer. Manmade structures would absorb heat much more slowly and emit it much more slowly. This suggests I've found your mountain inside the pyramid. It is a carved mountain in my opinion.
This mass of hot stone slowly dissipates its heat all autumn long, night and day. A carved statue would be ideal for this since the irregular shape (like a mongoose) facilitates its ability to heat and cool.
Of course we can't determine the shape by the temperature differentials but we can certainly say that carved natural stone would not need to be so massive as a dome or cube that was man made. There are no other shapes made by Egyptians (cultural context) that would serve so ideally as a carved stone.

And what evidence do you have that they used different stone here? What logic suggests that a different limestone would be that much lighter. How then do you explain the heat sink under here? If this are leaks enough air to get the interior hot then why doesn't the entire pyramid have such anomalies?
