No , the only way these imaginary lines can "work" is with with a special pleading worthy of Joseph Smith ,Kostas , Pistorious and Hirohoto combined .
So now you accept that the interior 15 mounds of the various "alignments " are not in any way straight or should even be considered as representing a bearing .Of course if you take the two extremes of any structure and pretend that they are somehow meant to represent a bearing when it is obvious that there is no intention of any bearing and anyone that imagines there is , is deluding themselves .
Even if we go along with that view and measure from the centre of the two extremes the bearing is still way off the great circle that will arrive at Stonehenge , but will include thousands if not millions of potential salient sites according to your criteria of potential sites, and it will still not explain the basic problem of how anyone who couldn’t appear to construct a straight line should be expected to know when and to what extent to change the bearing to arrive at a targeted site nearly 3,000 miles away .

Try the Imam Square in Tehran or Times square New York or any square anywhere and extend the lines of the twelve possible bearings to great circles , with your criteria and lack of accuracy ,as above , you will encounter hundreds if not thousands or millions of potential sites that fit that criteria .Please keep them yourself though ,they are not meaningful .
