So what have we discovered or rediscovered here. Well firstly for the very first time we have found the actual reason that The Ancient Egyptians could never have used Pi or Phi or square root of 2 or any irrational number. In their mathematical world they did not exist. The Ancient Egyptians were of the school that any number could be expressed as a fraction and thus we are into a deeply psycological difference between where The Ancient Egyptians were and where The Ancient Greeks later were. How many times have we heard that a great sport among The Ancient Greeks was discussing ... "was space divisble indefinitely" and "was there a smallest measurement" and up until this instant I really never knew why that would concern them. But they had obtained all their geometrical knowledge from Egypt and the Egyptians believed in a finite world. How do I know that ? Well simple really, They believed everything could be expressed as a fraction USING A RATIONAL NUMBER !!!!!! I don't think they allowed 1/infinity. So we can see clearly now just why and where our knowledge has evolved. Fundamental differences in concepts. So a good example would be if you asked an ancient Eygptian if The Universe was finite he would say of course, yes. However ask The Ancient Greek and you would get no ! It is infinite.
Now that is interesting !
And here is "The Egyptian Pi" diagram I have put together. And just as a closing question I have to ask; are you Egyptian or are you Greek ?
