Look, I don't pretend to know whether there are immutable laws of physics or not. If there's a God he might not know either.
My point is that nature is far too complicated to nail anything down. Nature is infinitely complex and anything is always possible. It is not outside the bounds of reason that it is simply obeying immutable natural laws. We know almost nothing so how could we possibly know whether natural laws are immutable or not.

If you'll read my post more carefully you'll see that I never said you believe nature is simple. I choose my words very carefully because they are meant literally. I mean every word I write and do not mean what I don't write.
Modern people do tend to overestimate our knowledge and understanding by orders of magnitude. This is a superstition that the ancients probably didn't share.
