... The pyramid was arranged to reach c. 70 m. in height, on 7 steps, but only few meters of it still remain and the monument never reached the 15 meters because it remained unfinished.
The base side is 120 mt. The stone was cut in blocks of the average size almost double than the ones of Djoser and they also evidence better skill in their cutting and assembling.
A reused block was found that had to come from Sekhemhet's father (?) complex for it bore the name Neteryhet (Goneim op. cit. p. 8 fig. 26). ... Source: [xoomer.virgilio.it]
The base side is 120 mt:
120 meters = 120 x 39.3700787 inches in a meter = 4724.409444 inches
4724.409444 inches = 229.14 cubits ( 4724.41 / 20.618034)
229.14 / 2 ( or half the base length ) = 114.57 cubits
360 / Pi = 114.59
Accuracy = 0.02 cubit or 4 inches over 4724.41 inches or .00085 or 99.92 %
... It has been difficult to determine whether the core was originally planned as six or seven steps, but apparently, the pyramid itself was never completed, having only reached a height of about 26 feet. It was built using the accretion layer method with the stones laid inwards at a 15 degree slope. These stones were laid at right angles to the incline. Since the pyramid was unfinished, there was never any casing applied. The pyramid probably had a square floor plan, with sides about 119 meters in length. According to Lehner, if the pyramid was built in seven steps, it would have been higher then Djoser's, rising some 70 meters (230 ft) above its base. ... Source: [www.crystalinks.com]
Pyramid was going to be (apparently) Base: 229.14 and height 133.66481 [ (70 x 39.3700787) / 20.618034 ]
This would make the slope distance of the triangle formed as Sq rt of [ 1/2 of 229.14 squared + 133.66481 squared]
Sq root of 114.57 squared + 133.66481 squared
Sq root of 13126.2849 + 17866.2814323361
Sq root of 30992.5663323361
Slope distance is (or would be) 176.05
HOWEVER:
In the article above it states:
... The pyramid was arranged to reach c. 70 m. in height, on 7 steps ...
133.66666666 x 20.Phi = 2755.944 inches / 39.3700787 = 70.000975 meters
133.66666666 x 20.Phi = 2755.944 inches / 39.3700787 = 70.000975 meters = Height of Pyramid of Sekhemkhet
We also have the slope distance equaling (+ or -) 1/10th the total base of The Great Pyramid (1760 cubits) (Accuracy = 99.27 %) (1760.5 / 4 = 440.125 or accurate to around 2.6 inches over 9072 inches or 99.97 %
So the base of The Great Pyramid appears to be EXACTLY 2.5 times larger than the slope distance at Pyramid of Sekhemkhet. Most interesting.
And I have been reading as much as I can on this complex but nowhere do I see the proof that it was not supposed to have been completed. Like The Pyramid at Medium it could be completed as it stands .
