In this picture I was puzzled because the enclosure did not seem to fit any even number of cubits. It just did not make sense and then I decided to try something else and as always it became crystal clear and fit into a game plan perfectly.
It says the enclosure was meant to be 518 m x 183 m but when I tried to figure it out in cubits it gave me:
518 x 39.37 (inches in meter) = 20393.66 / 20.618034 = 989.12 cubits
183 x 39.37 (inches in meter) = 7204.71 / 20.618034 = 349.44 cubits.
It just did not make sense. Why build an enclosure with these dimensions. Even the ratio appeared meaningless 989.12 / 349.44 = 2.8306 or .35328 as a reciprocal
But it had to fit something, so I then tried this and as I said it became very clear. Why and how this works I have no idea but work it does. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has another opinion of what the enclosure size meant.
For we now have:
20393.66 inches / 12 = 1699.472 feet or 566.49 yards
7204.71 inches / 12 = 600.3925 feet or 200.13 yards
So I think it is obvious that the true distances should be 1700 feet or 566.66 yards and 600.00 feet or 200 yards. And we have then 1700/600 = 2.8333 or 12 to 34 or 6 to 17 and the actual size meant was 518.16 meters by 182.88 meters
And more proof is that at the left side the small enclosure is now 300 x 600 feet or ... and are you ready for this one folks .... 100 by 200 yards with the diagonal of this small enclosure being 223.6068 YARDS and we have once again my favorite rectangles (triangles) the 1, 2 and sq rt of 5 version.
But further we have now on the bottom 300 as a part of 1700 or 5.6666 and lord don't we have 566.666 yards as a length. Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what the devil is going on here ?
Problem here though is what on Earth are ancient builders using feet and inches and yards for ?
If you have another explanation by all means let us know.
Regards
Don Barone
