...Rhetoric is ephemeral
the orderly dissemination of evidence , and the subsequent flasification of the conclusions one draws are the substance
You can argue in support of a vaccuum until you're blue in the face...But until you seek out falsification for your ideas they are nothing but air. ( I even surprised myself with that blanket metaphor)
There is no question here. There is no rhetorical question and no implied question. There's not even a statement with a question mark behind it.
There is a statement with no period.
There is an apparent paragraph composed of a sentence fragment.
There is what is to me an apparently off topic sentence leading a third paragraph. I assume you're referring to the overarching topic but don't see how you can call this a vacuum. The second sentence I simply don't accept as true. I saw no reason to go into it so simply didn't. My view on this is that seeking proof is equivalent and concurrent with investigation/ observation/ experimentation etc. One doesn't seek out contrary evidence to the exclusion of other things generally.
I believe I only partially understood the parenthetical aside. It's really a wonder we communicate at all. It's like we're in different arenas together.
My statements are generally meant literally and often only literally. If you try to parse them the meaning will evaporate. I try to write so that others can follow the idea though as you are aware I'm not the best writer and I tend to use overlong sentences and too little punctuation.
My post was intended more as a humorous aside than an answer to a question I wasn't even aware was posed. I did try to tangentally address the thought which I believe was contained in the sentence fragment.
Edited to add for clarity that this is not intended as a criticism. I'm very literal and am well aware that some of the breakdown in communication is my fault. Where others will see an implied subject or predicate in a sentence fragment I just see a black box problem.
