You have confirmed, and I have a copy of their writing, that M&R's data is based on other peoples work...not theirs.
They write that a second option: Edgar’s was to their liking (remember M&R never measured anything in this passage). They also enter Edger’s DP angle that has a large discrepancy compared to Petrie’s…no confirmation of measures…just a preference of one over the other. However...they immediately revert back to Petrie for the balance of the structure.
That being true then somebody didn’t do his or her homework. If the DP is longer than Petrie’s measures then the north sub passage has to be shorter…(a + b) = total of the DP and north SP…but the SP remains at the same length…so where did the other spare eight inches come from? You state that Edger started at the identical location as Petrie…so where is the error…at the start…or…the finish of the descending passage?

And…I guess I’m never going to see those two measures I kindly asked for.
But then…I don’t think you have them to begin with because you would have posted them if a discrepancy were present…right?
