It could mean that a particular star on a particular day of the year aligned...but if we use a little intelligence then we would realize that the majority of northern stars can be observed along this passage; it simply depends on the time of year that you record the sighting.
Putting that on the table leaves us with one option...
Lick your finger till it's nice and wet, stick it in the air and "guess" what star they could have been referring to...!

The proximity of the pyramids and the similarity of the Orion three have lead to speculation without any concrete evidence to support the concept of the monuments representing these stars. And that brings us right back to mathematics.
Known:
The angle of the shaft is equal to a cotan ratio of 2:1...that is by design…it’s not coincidental.
The theory of this passage aligning with a particular star and the theorist knowing of the 2:1 angular slope is basically an attempt by the theorist to include stars in the overall design of the site...to make stars the focal point of Giza…and that never happened.
The mathematical evidence of this site's layout is too overpowering for any to suggest or theorize that the pyramids were set out using star location as the base design of the site.
However, what should be realized is the location of Earth’s two near-polar stars: Thuban and Polaris.
It is logical that since we know that Earth proceeds along an astro-path (precession) then it is also possible that the AE knew of this characteristic.
Could it be coincidental or by design that the angular distance between the two most important northern stars: Thuban and Polaris measured 26.37 degrees when the pyramids were being constructed...the same angle as the passages indicate?
Actually the passages have a much deeper meaning than simple star alignment. The designers used what I have shown you but deviated slightly to add more scientific knowledge in the design.
