Hello All,

While studying Petrie's handwritten Plate 8 "Levels of the Courses of the Great Pyramid"at [www.touregypt.net]
I found it extremely difficult ascertain any method used by the Ancient Egyptians for establishing the rise or thickness of successive courses using 14/11 seked. Each successive course seems to diminish or rise in cubit fractions equal to neither palms nor digits. Offered no additional insight in establishing any method they may have used.
Does anyone have any additional information on this?
