... For the upteenth time:
The Great Pyramid, like all other pyramids in Egypt, is a religious building, albeit with astronomical alignments, and which, in this particular case, was intended to service the 'transfiguration' of the dead pharaoh, or rather his 'mummy', into an Akh, the latter being a spiritual entity which appears to be 'stellar' or existing in a stellar afterworld.
At best the GP may be seen as a 'transfiguration device' or 'rebirth machine' in the metaphoric sense, of course.
It, or the Giza complex, are neither a 'mathematical model' or some sort of 3-D display of mathematical or astronomical constants. There is no question that in examining its design and proportions it will be found to contain 'geometry' and mathematical values, but so does any other dsigned building, whether ancient or modern. ... <
Thanks Robert but there are many of us who would disagree.
Some would suggest they represent stars while others suggest they may represent planets and that the boats discovered were representing the planets that move.
You write:
... It, or the Giza complex, are neither a 'mathematical model' or some sort of 3-D display of mathematical or astronomical constants. ...
and you know this as fact because ... ?
At least my work and Clive's work line up. There are some students of The Giza Plateau that are working toward an understanding of the entire plateau and are not content with some theories out there where they do not even line up with the pyramids themselves.
It's been a while but seems to me you suggested that they were built using data that is 10,000 years old. Seems to me that in order to know this, the rise and fall of Orion must have been tracked for a while, maybe even the full cycle yet you sit here and pass judgement on a possible mathematical and solar system model ?
Well again I will repeat there are some who do not agree with you.
