You are starting to look at Giza with curious eyes.

The diagonal you measure is correct...but not 45 degrees.
w/ht = 290.8/267 = Tan 47.5 degrees. (Petrie did not measure 275Rc in height).
The hypotenuse is 1.48 times the length of the diagonal base measure.
