Reviewing this, I see that Creighton has been trying to have it both ways for a year at least.
His main assertion is that the later discoveries, even if “genuine”, do not “prove” that the Vyse discoveries are “genuine”—but he retains as a fallback the option of suggesting that the later discoveries are forgeries “also”.
In support of these contentions, he offers an analogy with bank notes.
