I've read through her "Sky Lore" book and I don't think she ever does address this. Her theme seems to be that the AE concern with the night sky was in regard to astrological pursuits, and little else. To this end she argues that Middle Kingdom coffin representations labelled as Meskhetiu were not meant to show Ursa Major, but were rather meant to be read as a glyph, though exactly what she thinks this glyph may be symbolizing is something I have yet to concretely discern - apparently some form of "time lord", as was Sah - who she says was not Orion. And for good measure she adds that "not even star glyphs - necessarily involve anything astronomical". No, it's all astrology to her.
I don't know enough in regard to the evolution of the AE Decanal systems to evaluate her claims in this area. She seems to argue that these were always about astrological issues - and for all I know she may have some insights here. She does avidly proceed with a bit of a trash and burn style in regard to the views of many scholars - an approach which is far from helpful both in terms of getting her point of view listened to by the main stream, and in even making her seem like she is anything but stark raving full bore.
She does provide some references I had not previously been aware of, and she does try to address a few things that I have not seen addressed elsewhere. So, all in all, there are a few things here that I've found worthwhile. Take what you can use and leave the rest....
P.S. - I've been able access Thompson's site, with links intact, here
