I recently received a copy of Joanne Conmans “Sky Lore” and have done my first read end to end of the book. On this first read, I found it to offer an interesting challenge to the orthodox position on the Egyptian astronomical texts. For me, Conman’s ideas in particular around Meskhetiu have some merit, and are deserving of another read in-depth to tease out any concerns. To that end, I wondered what specific concerns others have already raised regarding this work?
There is a review which appears to be a quote from an Amazon review available from one of the prior links in this thread here: [

“ Ms Conman starts off well, but gradually gets bogged down in the very same errors she accuses Egyptologists of making, and eventually becomes hopelessly muddled and lost when trying to challenge the identification of Meskhetiu with the Big Dipper/Plough. To be fair, some Egyptologists have made the same mistake, which is to confuse the sign Khepesh with Meskhetiu, and assume they both refer to the same constellation: they don't.”
Are there any other specific concerns with Conmans work?
