They might have tried drilling in an oasis or two but they wouldn't have gotten any results. The bore hole would be hidden and long forgotten now. They might have even tried a borehole in the desert somewhere but here they certainly got no results.
Where they did get results is exactly the point at which they invented the drill to bore; in the Eye of Horus right on the primeval mound exactly where the ben ben had been. There were many Eyes of Horus in the Land of Horus and many if not most were drilled in the long run.

If I understand your meaning here you might misunderstand my position. I'm merely trying to come to know how the ancient people built G1. They used some method to lift the stones and I desire to know what that exact method was in actuality. Most of my theory is based on induction, deduction, intuition, interpolation, and examination of known facts based on concepts previously known to me. I only research the things I need to kbnow and believe have a fair probability of being revealed by google. People here have been extremely helpful on several very critical pieces of information which would not be available otherwise. Many have also helped direct me to things or pointed out problems I hadn't seen.
I can state opinion as fact as well as anyone but try to avoid it. I believe that when looking at the totality of the evidence for how the great pyramids were built that the best guess at this time is geysers. I believe there were actual physical geysers whose water was harvested by the M[].t-wr.t-cow in order to lift the stones to build.
