There is really no "element of confusion" in Belmonte and Shaltout's paper and their conclusions. I think it's all very clear and their conclusions well balanced.

Sorry, but the only confusion I see here was created by you. You made a statement that was misinformed. That in itself is not so bad were it not for the fact that my first message on this thread not only carefully explains the final position of these scholars, but even put a link to their article.

Just admit you were wrong, and leave it at that. It's always a mistake to try and talk your way out of one.
