Yes, I know that other people noticed that Bauval's method didn't seem logical because North on the ground was down in the sky, but nobody else has ever suggested that the actual stars he used to represent each pyramid were in the wrong order and that Mintaka should really be the star corresponding to the Great Pyramid. I did a Google search and found not even one other reference to such an idea. Nor has the idea that the pyramids represent Osiris/Orion lying down prior to resurrection been suggested before to my knowledge.
I don't necessarily suggest that the pyramids or the Belt represent the penis, though that actually was the association for Orion's Belt used by the Egyptians in earlier times when Orion was seen as Min- [
www.ancientegyptonline.co.uk] It's possible that this was the intended object of the depiction but most likely just the belt of Osiris, since the pyramids appear to date to later times than when Min was popular. That image I used just happened to have that in there. It's not part really part of my theory or anything. When I said "this is what the pyramids depict" I meant the resurrecting Osiris/Orion. That's just part of the resurrecting procedure.
BTW, I just added another image to the web page showing the true date when the pyramids match best to the stars using Bauval's method. It's 12300 BC, a pretty much random and insignificant date.
