The Egyptians weren't Minoans and those themes were in Egyptian art before there was a Minoan.
Egyptian influence on Minoan and Greek art is just that, influence. It does not make the Minoan use of similar color contrasts a revelation on Egyptian world views because the Minoans weren't Egyptians. The only people relevant to the Egyptian world view are the Egyptians.
Similarly, the Greeks used black figure painting at various periods during their history. Does that reflect anything about their physical features as opposed to an artistic convention? Of course not. It is artistic and the Egyptian use of colors in an artistic way had a cosmology behind it, but it also was artistic as well.
However, even within the artistic framework, the Egyptians had a use of colors and symbolism that is reflected elsewhere in their cosmology, which is consistent and reflects their world view. That world view is only relevant to Egypt as it supports the aims and causes of the national identity and sovereignty of the Egyptian people and their rulers. So it wouldn't make sense any where else. Just as when the Greeks moved into Egypt they create a new capital city in the North and limited access to indigenous Egyptians. Sure they paid lip service to the cultures and traditions of Egypt, but they obviously were not Egyptians and their national identity and sovereignty was based on ties to Greece not ancient Egypt. But of course, nobody seems interested in calling these people out as "white" pharoahs or Greek pharoahs and their dynasties are lumped in with the rest of Egyptian history, as if they represent a continuation of indigenous Egyptian rule.
