This is the Eye of Horus which measures seven cubits
with a pupil of three cubits. Above it is a small san-
ctuary of some sort which had a pyramid constructed
right over the top. When the Great Pyramid was built
there was a structural change in the design of the py-
ramid which necessitated digging through already com-
pleted structure and connecting with the previosly (most-
ly existing) underground parts.

The change which necessitated this was the death of Os-
iris as a result of being induced to lie down in a box
which was filled with molten lead. If this weren't e-
enough Khufu/ Set had him then cut up into 14 pieces in
the grand gallery.

Perhaps Khufu closed the temples because those who were
making offerings were able to excuse themselves from
work on the pyramid. Khufu was feared more because he
killed Osiris than any other single thing.

This was just one of several "mountains of water".

The ’I [];.t-wt.t in the underground aquafer was a temp-
orary event which lasted 600 years at most. While it
may have occurred several times in the past and such
events may have even overlapped, it was coming to an
end when the Great Pyramid was built. Osiris required
increasing amounts of inducement (natron) to stand. The
’I [];.t-wt.t had been absorbed shortly before the in-
vention of heiroglyphs. The ancients had a good under-
standing of the nature of this process except they be-
lieved it was the king who was responsible for the its
efficiency. They weren't aware of the source and it's
failure was part of the cause of the ending of the dynas-
ty. The generic term for a geyser was probably D[]T.

This energy (the water pressure) was used to haul stone
up to and on top of the pyramid using simple machines,
water filled counterweights. The stones themselves were
deposits in the wadi to the immediate south. These were
lain down in varying depths dependent on the 11 and 88
year sunspot cycle. Stone broke easily between layers
so cutting was much easier then generally pictured. Each
layer in the pyramid was from progressively deeper layers
in the accumulation except for the 35th which was moved
ahead of three or four staged layers. This can be seen in
JonB's excellent thread on the subject;

There is a correlation between the sunspot cycle and rain-
fall in the upper reaches of the Nile according to the god
google.
