Back to the "destruction of mankind"...Here is my "opinion".

Note: This is way beyond my paygrade, so I'd like some feedback... Katherine is light-years beyond me, when it comes to the 18th dynasty, so I'd like to hear her thoughts on my "opinion".

A. Hatshepsut describes a flood, with children dancing on top of buildings; Manetho via Syncellus relates that this is the flood of Deucalion (I don't think it is). She also talks about Foreigners and Asiatics in the Nile Delta.

"children dancing on its roof"
B. Yves Duhoux and Manfred Bietak say there are Greeks living in the Nile Delta at this time.
Quote

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avaris
"The temple even has Minoan-like wall paintings that are similar to those found on Crete at the Palace of Knossos."
C. I think the Greeks help the Egyptians rebuild some Nile Delta cities (Diodorus), and are granted swamp-land in Egypt (Canopus, Buto, and Avaris).
Quote

"That the Athenians likewise are a colony of the Sais, which came out of Egypt, and are their kindred, they endeavour to prove by these arguments; (that is to say) that they only of all the Greeks call the city Asty, from Asty a city among those people of the Sais: and that for the better government of the commonwealth, they divide their people into the same ranks and degrees as they in Egypt do, to wit, into three orders"--Diodorus Book 1:28

D. King of Danuna dies during the reign of Akhenaten (Amarna Letter 151).
E. Some kind of rebellion occurs during the reign of Akhenaten.

"reign of Akhenaten, a remarkable papyrus depicting a group of Libyans slaying an Egyptian."

"Thou shalt write down [the things which are] in it, and thou shalt punish those who are in it, that is to say, the workers who have worked iniquity (or, rebellion)."

F. The Thebans kick the Greeks out of Egypt.

"Moreover, I give thee [power] to drive back (anan) the Ha-nebu"
G. Diodorus describes the egyptians sacrificing red-haired strangers... becauses Typhon was red-haired. Red-haired foreigners in Egypt are depicted at this time.
Quote

http://www.courses.psu.edu/cams/cams400w_aek11/www/labu.htm
"The Labu are characterized by a number of features when they are depicted in Egyptian reliefs, such as fair skin, red hair, and blue eyes."
...
"But however, it is lawful to sacrifice red oxen, because Typhon seemed to be of that colour, who treacherously murdered Osiris* and was himself put to death by Isis, for the murder of her husband; They report likewise, that antiently men that had red hair, like Typhon, were sacrificed by the kings at the sepulchre of Osiris." -- Diodorus Book 1
...
"Then said the Majesty of this god, "Your "transgressions of violence are placed behind you, for the slaughtering of the enemies is above the slaughter [of sacrifice];" thus came into being the slaughter [of sacrifice]."

H. Petrie's nomes of Egypt for the reign of Seti says "Lost", where Canopus/Libya should be.
Quote

"iii lost (Libya) 3" -- nome standards in the list of Sety I (Mariette, Abydos, i, 14)

Any thoughts on this interpretation? What is this sepulchre of Osiris? Could this be the Oseireion(sp?), that Katherine is doing her dissertation on? Or is it something else? Or is this idea preposterous?
