If one is familiar with James Allen's "Cosmology of the PYramid Texts" and "Reading a Pyramid", it shows that the path of the king's spirit is very particular to the rooms in the pyramid, and it MUST NOT exit before being properly processed in the antechamber. To suggest the spirit could jump out early through tiny tubes completely contradicts the stellar texts that are being used as the reference for supporting a stellar function of the shafts.
I've pointed this out several times, but I thought it was worth mentioning again, in light of your well reasoned post above.
