The culmination of the Khoiak Festival would have been around Mid-November in the Julian Calender, around four months after the flood season.

Certainly the only surviving evidence of this Festival is of a Sokar-Osiris Festival, but nontheless it seems obvious this is an example of Osiris moving into other cultic areas he at one time had no part in.

But given that Osiris did become a major aspect of Khoiak and that his cult ever expanded whilst that of Sokar diminished, then there's an association of Osiris with Orion and it's periodics and agricultural seasons, that has not developed through Orion being seen as Sah and then associate with Osiris...that's the reason i've considered Osiris to be associated with Orion in the Late/Classical Period.
