For the longest time it was assumed that the Amarna era was erased from memory by an almost Fanatical wave of suppression, by the people , the priests, the immediate successors, or all of em. Yet it is turning out that we have probably got more of their remains, some virtually intact (see Tut) than of any other dynasty or era within one.
