I don't understand the objection. I've never believed something must have
no validity because it's in the bible.
There has been speculation that the deaths in one of the plagues might have
been caused by carbon dioxide and this might be a possible source.
I'm personally much more concerned with getting feedback on the concept of
water in this area as recently as the when the pyramid were constructed than
anything else. I'm merely hoping that some of the very knowlkedgeable people
here might think of some more important and relevant supporting evidence or
a reason this can't be possible.
You may be right that the religious connections are inappropriate until there
is something more conclusive.
