I've seen only four or five samples and there was some question about
the quality of most or all of these samples. Each of them came back
showing a greater age of the pyramid than is generally accepted. Car-
bon dating tends to err on the younger side which could indicate a
greater age yet.
This isn't really critical to the argument. The real question is would
it be possible for there to have existed these conditions and could they
have caused all the evidence?
There is still some weakness in these suppositions. I'm not certain, for
instance if it's plausible for carbon dioxide to remain dissolved in wat-
er for at least 300 years when corked by limestone.
Of course it might be argued that it was suffocation caused by carbon dio-
xide which was a plague brought upon the Egyptians by Moses.
Perhaps we don't see all the references to the pyramids in history because
they have been hiding in plain sight. It's obvious the ancients thought
there was something very important to mark. While the passing of a king or
home for the dead may well have been a reason, it wasn't necessarily the
only reason.
