Yes. It's quite obvious that Osiris was a tremendously different element introduced in that specific timeframe. He goes from virtually non-existant regional vegetation god to the virtual centerstage character in the Egyptian underworld.

The entire city of Iunu seems to have risen up between the Third and Fifth Dynasties. That must have had a tremendous impact on the evolution of theology at that time. Isis is virtually unknown before the Fifth Dynasty... yet she is a major player by the time of the Pyramid Texts.

Clearly, this was an enormously formative time in Egyptian mythological history.
