Hear hear, but the UK could do more too, as should everyone. If we don't act now, then what leverage will we have when the huge developing populations in the east start to contaminate our air in 10-20 years time?

The point is that once these turbines are up and running they provide long term clean free power and stable jobs for the area.

The state of the Sellafield nuclear recycling plant has been coming out recently, and its a bad sign for the nuke industry. They have whole ponds of waste "big enough to float a ship in" (BBC2), and the waste in them has corroded so much that they can't even see in to find out what's there....
They can't even send in a probe to find out what's there, as the probe then become radiactive waste itself....nightmare scenario...
