Well, we play Rugby Football where the ball is, erm, thrown from hand to hand!

As for this spelling thing - who cares, they do it their way, we do it ours. It's just a case of mass communications preventing American English becoming it's own language.

The only IMPORTANT thing is that if an American English speaker writes "center" and we write "centre" we all know what we mean.

I do draw the line at "sulfur" though - it's so inelegant
