I guess you are a child of "the enlightenment". I don't want to put words into Joanne's mouth because I tend to be at war with her most of the time. But I'm with her here. CISCOP and their like have in fact strengthened anti-science. They (CISCOP) represent a hollow version of even the already hollow view proposed by the authors of "the enlightenment". Many of them would not recognise this degree of skepticism that has no basis even in empirical science. Its a belief driven thing. At least the creationists in all their ignorance don't claim reason as their guide.
