First "Scientism", (which I take is the notion the "Science" can answer all questions)- has been actively promoted for well over a century. In fact its heyday was probably the late 19th century, when optimism was running rampant.

As for your comment on CSICOP, how a organization like CSICOP which from what I gather would like there to be a lot more scientific education is in anyway responsible for ignorance of Science is beyond me.

But then lets not let the facts get in the way of a good polemic.
