Many years ago, Jason used to post on Ma'at, but then went on to develop his own website and blog, where all sorts of fringe subjects are subjected to scrutiny. (And, amongst other things, he's translated Al-Maqrizi's

My own enduring memory from the files released from the National Archives a few years ago is of the stoic misery of a whole class of unfortunate civil servants and bureaucrats who had the job of dealing with communications of varying degrees of sanity from the (frequently all too excitable) public.
