Yes, this really is something that will have to be tackled. There's no question of closing down a museum like that tho, people have a right to believe any nonsense they feel like, unfortunately, do people have the right to brainwash people with nonsense on a systematic basis?

This sort of stuff brings politics into science where it doesn't belong. What they don't realise is that science is not about subjecting people to one thought system, it is a thought system that is completely designed around the concept of the best method to extract the truth from observable evidence. That's its whole basis.

I wonder if there is someone behind the Creationist movement, or is it just a delusional cult gone wild?

Anyway, as for the Vatican, I am sure they have stated that Darwin and the Bible are compatible systems, ie that the Bible is simply a primitive take on the same creation and evolution. I don't think they facied another Galileo type trial.
