Not much to disagree about Simon, and I wholly agree way too much exaggeration on the part of Sen. Boxer's statements EXCEPT in the event she was closer to the truth than has been said. There has been no public release of the proposed 'CHEERS' program that I have seen, and when asked to comment usually results in diversionary (IMO) dialogue that is vague, with no answers to the inquiry.

In either case this may be a good thing in that it should raise the awareness on all sides, and hopefully stay the course and not hinder reasearch, and let Pete, and other researchers, and their studies move forward.
