just as each day ended for the next to begin

so did each year

the extrapolation to 'next cycle of years' is hardly a leap of faith

Neither is it proof of anything but the fact that they could and did measure time

as did all agricultural societies

I know any number of highly educated people who put more faith in the Farmer's Almanac than they do in the Weather Channel

and for predicting major drops in air pressure I rely on my Hammer Toe

Without provoking more offence..Don's reply to my post is a prime example of the Fearmongering I was talking about..I say this recognising that he is a victim of disinformation rather than an author of it.

ie If the government isn't talking about it and the acadmics steadfastly refute it...they must be covering something up.

our study of the past reveals that Man can overcome just about anything, if he is given a fighting chance

therefore ..Anyone who goes around saying we are hopelessly doomed is by my definition an enemy of mankind.

Anyone who advocates giving up on life is sentencing my grandchildren to a less than ideal world
