There really is no problem - and I think the issues are interesting - sometimes - to debate. I do occasionally worry about the state of Robert Bauval's mind!

But there are more important issues!

Your point is a tough one Anthony: no doubt Hancock's stuff can be 'inspirational' - although there's plenty of less commercial archaeology out there that is also inspirational.

There is a point, though, when being honest about evidence for what happened in the past becomes a matter of crucial importance.

I would refer you to some outstanding accounts of the Irving Trial which have been recently published. they make very interesting reading.</HTML>
